Or will the Killer Ps return to the top of the heap? Is it the time of the Poms, the Rebels or the Scrappers....or another team altogether? Will any Waikato supporters actually turn up to the track sober? Who will be the first to undergo air-horn removal surgery? Is Barry REALLY brown? And how Mad IS Marty? These questions - and more - will be answered in a few weeks inside the walls of Arena Manawatu. Be there!

Obviously been talking to someone in the know Marty, maybe Bruce? Why don't palmy just advise teams on their site and revise teams If there are changes. Would help with all the speculating.
All teams should have to be advise before global challenge or just after, would help the planning and also help with programme etc, would add to the buzz of the meeting as the public would then start sto pick their favorites and work out scenarios.
At the moment just about everything is hearsay, unless a team has advised which isn't many, particularly interested to know who is in palmy teams, joblin said at 240s looking forward to teams, he obviously knows he is in a team.

I would never expect that unless they somehow made it town of origin. With most of the rich speedsters choosing to bail on their local club and race at Palmy or Rotorua, much of the rest of the country has to rely on their drivers having cars ready, being fit to race after big meetings, and having back up plans and import drivers sorted in case.
Christchurch for example, would probably love Matt Ngatai to be in the fold.. but would his car last a nights racing? Is he rusty? etc. 299C tank, may well be confirmed to be in the team, but who is gonna drive it? Its had 3 pilots in 3 meetings, 2 of whom have done exceptional.. and while Ngatai has been givin it a go in the North, a few other drivers have stood up and been noticed!
Kihikihi has had a past of borrowing cars, and with 2 of the 4 expected drivers saying that they are not 100% sure (Mytton and Taylor) tho the 2 are mad for teams so i would never count them out, and the 5K and 6K having had 4 great drivers race them this season, what are they up to? They certainly couldnt commit to paper, but have the mates and contacts off track to guarantee a team.
Drivers back out (Higgins) and others come back for teams.. if they can get a car ready (Mytton,Podjursky, Petersen, Matt Ngatai?).
For the smaller clubs, it is alot harder to ensure a team than most realise, and i say that with stockcar experience, i imagine superstocks are 100 times harder to sort.

Having completed the programme for the last three season at Teams Champs, I think it would be a great idea to have team naming deadline prior to the event, but it's realistically never going to happen is it. This is a hard contact sport, both for cars and drivers, so if teams are named prior to the event, it's highly likely they will change before the event actually starts due to injuries (look at Osbourne from this weekend's 240s), car damage, blown engines, driver availability, etc. Perhaps we should just accept the fact that 'fluid' team lineups are a part of Teams Champs are made up.
