The top 4 are seeded into seperate groups A,B,C,D, then the other teams fill the other positions in each pool

Obviously been talking to someone in the know Marty, maybe Bruce? Why don't palmy just advise teams on their site and revise teams If there are changes. Would help with all the speculating. All teams should have to be advise before global challenge or just after, would help the planning and also help with programme etc, would add to the buzz of the meeting as the public would then start sto pick their favorites and work out scenarios. At the moment just about everything is hearsay, unless a team has advised which isn't many, particularly interested to know who is in palmy teams, joblin said at 240s looking forward to teams, he obviously knows he is in a team. Having completed the programme for the last three season at Teams Champs, I think it would be a great idea to have team naming deadline prior to the event, but it's realistically never going to happen is it. This is a hard contact sport, both for cars and drivers, so if teams are named prior to the event, it's highly likely they will change before the event actually starts due to injuries (look at Osbourne from this weekend's 240s), car damage, blown engines, driver availability, etc. Perhaps we should just accept the fact that 'fluid' team lineups are a part of Teams Champs are made up. quite correct I should have said 12 teams and line ups are confirmed AT THIS STAGE between now and 4th&5th Feb things can happen and often do KihiKihi will be there and the Warriors are back the rest I will leave up to Palmy Promotions to announce

i think alcohol makes the event better, what wrong with having a beer with mates that you only see a couple of times a year. And we dont usually have to much because its so expensive and you dont want to always be going to line up for more or going to the toilet and missing races.

Omg, this was so blown out of proportion, some people need to relax, i dont go there to get wasted, i like to have a couple of cold ones with mates, i dont cause problems i watch the racing and i enjoy the atmosphere that palmy has to offer, i have even gone out and got me a spare bonnet to paint in waikato colours to show appreciation to the team. Im sorry if i have offended anyone but seriously c'mon its not just waikato people that get drunk at palmy so i think its abit unfair to single us out. Roll on palmy, drive safe everyone and goodluck to all the teams involved.

Roll on palmy, drive safe everyone and goodluck to all the teams involved. Relax boys...relax. This was all written so tongue-in-cheek that I just about chewed it off (see below): Is it really possible to predict a winner of this event? Will the Tigers go back-to-back? Or will the Killer Ps return to the top of the heap? Is it the time of the Poms, the Rebels or the Scrappers....or another team altogether? Will any Waikato supporters actually turn up to the track sober? Who will be the first to undergo air-horn removal surgery? Is Barry REALLY brown? And how Mad IS Marty? These questions - and more - will be answered in a few weeks inside the walls of Arena Manawatu. Be there!

The Eagles team has been confirmed!!! Read it on the Woodford glen site. WHAT A TEAM!!!!!
Team is, Malcom Ngatai, Matt Ngatai, Murray Greig, Nick Selfe, Dennis Andreassend, Trevor Mason.
There is no mention of which cars are being used or which one of this talented bunch is the spare driver, i would assume they will all be in there normal cars. GO THE EAGLES!!!! ;D

Its going to be an amazing weekend right across the board all teams are looking the strongest they have for years its guna be one hell of a battle.. teams champs is always a good weekend, regaurdless of the results. even though im a palmy boy, id rather see us lose is a great race like last year against nelson than win in a boring race You's didn't lose mate, you got completely and utterly smashed, and to a Nelson supporter the last part of that race was boring as we had no more P cars left to smash
