Teams Champs; who needs support classes?
Seriously though, Night One is traditionally nothing but teams racing, and it's always one of the best nights of the season. Palmy website isn't saying what they have on Saturday yet but there are normally Superstock consolation races, and they have had sprintcars in the past. But whatever support classes they have will be hotdog classes that weekend ;D

Aren't the Golden Oldies having a skid, being the 30th anniversary and all?

I hope theres no sprintcars or saloons. They tend to make the track rather slick which i dont think is right considering its a stockcar event. And the dust gets in my drink

I'm sure the golden oldies cars will be at the meeting, be great if Bruce Robertson drove the 1p tank, be cool too if the 1NZ car out at Harrisville made an appearance as well

Considering it the teams 30th anniversary it would only be appropriate to celebrate with some historic stockcar racing...................sure hope so

I did have the same initial thought - wondered about the track condition and the 'leanings' of the crowd....but then thought back to last year's event (or was it the year before) when they did a crowd collection for an injured sidechair rider. They got a huge response.... Those sidechair guys are a pretty tightly-knit crew - good of them to get together and put on something a bit different for the Teams Champs.
