yoiu're kidding..... Sidecars?? Yes I do enjoy the sidecars, have nothing against those mad men, but at the teams champs..... I did have the same initial thought - wondered about the track condition and the 'leanings' of the crowd....but then thought back to last year's event (or was it the year before) when they did a crowd collection for an injured sidechair rider. They got a huge response.... Those sidechair guys are a pretty tightly-knit crew - good of them to get together and put on something a bit different for the Teams Champs. Going back 15-20 years ago sidecars were always on the night two (along with what are now known as Super Saloons). I used to have a bit to do with a fairly successful Sidecar pair back then who have worn 1nz more than once and he reckoned the thrill he got from the grandstand dwellers giving him and his swinger a cheer after he won 3 from 3 (well it was a British bike so it was bound to do well) was better than the buzz he got from wining 1nz, cause as he put it "Sidecars wern't their thing but we turned them on"

As I said, nothing against those guys, they are nuts...in a good way. But personally would have rathered seen std stocks or streeties out there doing their thing. Was hoping for a full on weekend of contact.
Hope the guys that are fronting, keep themselves on their bikes and turn on a darn good show....coming a LOOOONG way for this weekend.
