My mrs asked after when she was getting mad with a Chicks forum she's a member of, "does this sort of thing happen on that stock car thing you read?" I guess I can tell her the answer now Quote of the night

So what is the answer team? If someone has a sleep outside of speedway does the standdown count? For example if I had a sleep in one of my fights would I still have the standdown?
Or what if I didn't declare my little sleep to the headshed what liability would there be? If any?

As i see it IF you get knocked out in Rugby, kick boxing, speedway etc then you should have a 21 day stand down from all contact sports not just the one you got knocked out in.You never know whats really going on in your body so give it a rest.

I only saw the hit on video bit I'm doubting Scott went to sleep, but I would hazard a guess that either his back or his kidneys would of been a little uncomfortable for a day or so. Hope he's back to his best come Friday tho as he is definitely a master at his craft and very exciting to watch!

Theres only 1 way to find out and thats to buy a ticket and get ya backside trackside.
I dont know the guy from a bar of soap but from what i hear hes somewhat of a hard man but hes an old hand at the sport and therefore id say not stupid, hes had a few knocks and im sure he knows his bodies limits. Has they been going for the 5 or 6peat then there may be some kind of pressure on him but its not the case.

As well as the queries over Scotts well being, also have to wonder about the car, it was extremely badly damaged. I had heard from someone who saw the car up close that it was damaged right through to the firewall and would almost need a complete back half. The other tank had been having engine issues so maybe the rush is on to get that one ready.

It is highly likely that Scott WASN'T knocked out.
Just two months ago I went through the same accident in our tank.
Same sort of hit and same sort of damage.
Was talking to Scott at Rotorua about it to get ideas to strengthen ours.
I was not knocked out, I had a headache 2 days later.
I went to hospital after I got home after ambos had checked and rechecked me.
The lap belts had damaged my bladder and I was passing blood.
Ambos weren't going to get that info at track.
I felt alright until I got home, sore but ok.
Scott will make the call.
In regards other sports and speedway, it's up to you as the driver to heed medical opinion.
