Drove pretty well all weekend....no denying that. Can't say I ever want to see Peter Rees in my mirror - he's a one-man show sometimes. Rees is superb, but I doubt that Paul Johnson and Steve Guilford will ever want to see Peter Bengston in their mirrors again either. They were two if the biggest hits you'll ever see. He's such a quiet, mild-mannered bloke off the track too ... you have to watch those quiet one's, Higgy is another one ;D

What a comeback from this professional unit!
12 months ago you got the beating of a life time, and in spectacular fashion reclaimed your place on the top.
Was good to see Penn (who I thought was abit quit last year) take charge of the races and stepped up to bring them home. If its his last teams it will be a sad day, but hope he gets that grand slam NZ title. All 6 off these guys are heroes to me (Parkes too) but its getting talked about alot now.
For years alot of us have been watching the Bengston grow into one of the best ever.
You only have to look back on his rookie debut for the Panthers in 02 to see that he was an alert driver and helped shot gun Murray West to the flag over the Rebels.
He got better and better and had 2005 off (one of the Panthers worst years even though they raced there asses off!) Upon the return in 2006 showed a new chassis and a seemingly more clinical driver to which has played a massive part into the success of the Panthers title run! When you hear die hard Panthers haters bow down to that fact you know he is up there ;D
As for Scotty, well I was cheering in 92 watching u smash Clayworth and there in 99 for the 1 man stand. All I can say mate is thanks for everything you have done in Speedway!
