Drove pretty well all weekend....no denying that. Can't say I ever want to see Peter Rees in my mirror - he's a one-man show sometimes.

Rees is superb, but I doubt that Paul Johnson and Steve Guilford will ever want to see Peter Bengston in their mirrors again either. They were two if the biggest hits you'll ever see. He's such a quiet, mild-mannered bloke off the track too ...

I'm surprized that no one has acknowledged Shane Penn's final teams race . While he hasn't always been the most spectacular he has been a big part of the Panthers success along with other teams he has raced in at times.

Whilst I congratulate the Scrappers for getting into the final, I think the real rivallry at the moment is Panthers / Tigers. For whatever reason it didn't happen, a Panthers / Tigers final would have been epic, whoever would have come out on top.

I thought the semifinal was a pretty close call for the black cars ... maybe they will pick Peter B in the starting four forever from now on??

I agree totspete, Peter Bengston certainly has ensured that they have won a number of races over the years, and they looked a bit lost without him on the track.
Well done to Pete Rees for realising what was going on and ensuring that they made it to the final.
Shane Penn did say in the on track interviews that he would race with these guys anytime, oh and that Peter Bengston is a legend (twice).
Well done Panthers on showing everyone how to win a teams champs with 4.5 cars.

Not sure it was ever announced at the track, which may be why not everybody knows yet. From interviews we did on Speedbox over the weekend I suspect there may be others only doing another season of Teams competition - Peter Rees on the other hand reckons he's got 10 years left in him!!!! Happy 40th birthday for tomorrow Pete....
