You would have to think it must be difficult for the team drivers - black coming up against black, or blue on blue. Is the guy coming up behind you friend or foe? It might make them reconsider team colours if a team was to lose cos someone took out their own guy who just happened to be winning, and handed the win to the other team.

On more than one occassion in Palmy Vegas cars put each other up the wall, and to make it worse they weren't racing Auck.
Full credit to the guys that teams race. They don't really see the body colour when they want to block. Prob why guys painted bumpers a different colour. HB did paint there bumpers fluro one year and I think that would be more distinctive for blockers than body colour.
Easy to see colours when they are on the other side of the track, but the problem is when cars are coming up on you from behind.

Yes I too don't get why teams run same colours as each other....
As ya look like a right di@khead when you take out one of your team mates!
