A quick shed update from Jolly Olly, who has let his lips do the walking again this week. Please note – adult themes and bad movie quotes contained in this update.
Also, excuse quality – this is a cellphone that I’m sure is a transformer, and will wake up in the night with it standing over me trying to kill me. Anyway, on with the update.
Also stopped in at Dutchies Auto repairs shop, and caught up quickly with Clevo. He got the tank and had been waiting for his spares to turn up from the Rees Race Cars workshop – they arrived this morning, a couple of rims and tyres, axle, steering box etc, just the usual reckons clevo. This is just to make sure if anything happens to the tank he will be able to make it out for the next race/meeting.
Also heard a whisper two more cars/projects have turned up in Westport. Had a quick countup, we think there are 18 who have raced this season who will be regulars next year, and 18 with cars who have the offseason to finish them - hmmm, sounds like next year might be a good un if our shed races get fizzed enough.
Thanks for visiting, and hope to see you at the king of the coast this weekend – The forecast for this week has been heavy rain, and even the TV3 weather update this morning indicated it was raining in Greymouth – well, good news, it wasn’t. They then went on to say the rain would get heavier this afternoon. This is the view at lunchtime out my window, Thursday 14 April. There was a little morning cloud, but it appears to be burning off.
If you check the weather forecast on metservice.com, don’t forget to check the rain radar – I think that’s more accurate. Either way, we will try and upload some live pictures once Saturday rolls around. Suffice to say, the club is always super committed to making this event happen. See you Saturday for the 12pm start.
