I had the pleasure of meeting Jo when I went to Woodford Glen in November. The phrase "larger than life" doesn't do justice to someone with an obvious passion for the sport. I have been thoroughly enjoying the weekly Thunder at the Glen shows since then.
Kia kaha Dave, and Jo's whanau; thoughts, prayers and aroha are with you all. Whilst having Jo back will bring you some comfort, the days ahead won't be easy. The speedway fraternity shares your enormous loss.

i have tryed doing this a few times.what can i say,my best mate has lost his best mate.becouse thats what jo was to dave, both of them pig headed and stubin.so so matched and boy could jo talk to people, she would interview them and they would not even no .she was that sort of person.that smile .and the cheeky one .our trips away with the cars .the after racing fantas.allways going off to talk to this one or that one.and smiling..i even got to hold a mirrow so the lipy could go on.she even got me to wear jeans.(out of my arcies as she called my fleasy pants).took some doing tho.but then i got her to wear them.she changed me.am going to miss our talks .working on the race cars.look around and there she and dave were haveing a cuddle.the smile in there eyes.the way the told each other love u.or the words they were saying.am so going to miss seeing that . arthur crew 24 c 64 c and at times 81c

It was great to have known you Jo, tho I was surprised to find out you were 60, wow that took me by surprise . One thing I will never forget, was when you were running for the ACT party a few years ago. You rang me and asked if I would like to take my car out to Ruapunaon the sunday arvo for the members to have a spin in the racecars. How could I refuse. You had the trusty Tredia and also the Galant and the 3 cars were doing laps all day. Then we swapped cars for a few laps. I remember saying to you, "na Il stick to rear wheel drive thanks" Anyway hope you enjoy watching the racing up there.

Sorry this was a reply to what Ross 56y had stated, since retracted, under Murray Guy for Woodford Glen. Ross. Her name is Joanne NOT Joanna. It was only her mother, brother and myself that called her Joanne. Everyone called her Jo .Thats what she wanted. Now that you have repeated her age,I need to say it was one thing she didn't want made public.Unfortunately I cannot muzzle the media (they have ways of finding these things out). So...... Jo was easily as youthful as I , in mind, body and spirit. She was quite worried after I had worked out her numeral figure of age (some 2 years ago)that I maybe less adoring. I reassured her at every turn that the numeral figure did not match her,it was only a number (like a letter box number). My Joanne was not the age they state. I have most of my mind. Its my heart that stops and starts

I have calmed down. Joanna Didham was sales rep for "Lets Go Shopping" at CTV (media might have something crossed),tragically lost her life too.Survived by her husband and two children. Her husband and I know each other from work breakups .Joanna or diddles as she was, attended a BBQ along with other CTV staff at ours.I did the barby part. The parties usually turn unique, this no different... I was allowed to start my new wee chain saw inside with our guests (she couldn't start it earlier in the week).Jo wanted it and took it outside running and sawed down two plum tree uprights a mans upper arm thickness, with the guests outside taking photos and movies of us . I was behind her pushing the limbs over.Went running away through low shrubbery like a goof as Jo was turning with the saw.Word got around CTV ,,, at this party Jo was chasing Dave around with the chainsaw ( going of course,, ran good). Valentines day was tomorrow. Boy we were like teenagers some times. We lit each others lives and those around us The Surviving CTV crew and immediate families I am a little worried about. You can only take so many hits. The funerals will be many, they are extremely sad. It was a family,,great ,like speedway, but smaller, tighter. We attended Murray Woods' funeral yesterday ,station co owner and MD. Might I say he was dad to many. Its a bloody disaster you or I had no control over. Wanted to talk to the camera man at the glen, Mike i think. But saw him heading out amongst the throngs of people (hes very tall),upset. I was too,,am too,,. I would like to thank Murray Guy for the efforts he and Tony Hevel (sign writer) and .......... Granddad will know .. The 4 star accommodation 13r fuso? The whole package. Even letting me change your set up (a lot),you changing the body.,the changing weather the maxi sized crickets mating on the go fast advert (made that up). Its going to be a pleasure having you back here in chch. I would like also to thank kevin61 Kevin Bryant for having the "nothings impossible" attitude for raising funds . There is a rumor of Scott Dixon's involvement? I'm going to get off my butt and email blue bridge my case for some discount,so Murray can then leave this rig here, fly back and then back down almost a week later. Murray thank you for this.If you ever ever want a hand with driving duties you know my number. I have a clean driving record, yea right.
