It is with great sadness that I have to inform the speedway community that Ray Skipworth has past away after a long battle with cancer. Ray was well known around Meeanee and other tracks around New Zealand as a dedicated supporter he loved his stockcars and loved supporting the Meeanee Maulers and HB HAWKEYES. Alot of people around the speedway community in hawkes bay knew Ray as skippy. If you wish to attend his Tangi (furneral) you are welcome to it is to be held at 8am Saturday 28 Murphy Road Taradale. They are having a service tonight at 6pm for family and friends if you do attend please be there before 6 and just wait at the letter box and we will welcome you inside. if you want more information or anything dont hesitate to text or call me (tony) on 0277522041

Ray : It was a pleasure to know you while you where tagging along with Tony McGrath:
I've asked Tony to pass on my goodbyes when he heads round to see you shortly:
To Speedway followers Ray was one of the unassuming Speedway Supporters that had the knowledge of the cars and tracks that he visited over his years following our sport:
Its all FULL THROTTLE now Ray Kia Kaha

RIP Ray, condolences to your family and friends. It will seem odd not seeing you at speedway, a sport you loved so dearly.
