Think I remember reading this same poo this time last year Go the Pumas NOT. You can have the best drivers in the country but if they can't work together as a team (which the pumas can't) your buggered. It takes alot of skills to be a good teams racer.

Not that your profile says but by the way you post I am picking your a welly person, Yes the young guns work good as a team and yes the pumas didn’t work good as a team at the last champs, but just remember that its teams racing and any thing can happen, and I am not just say that it could be the pumas just hoping it will be them that can bring the champs home.

Good on you for supporting your home team. It's easy to look back and comment on last season but I think the right thing to do is to give our teams as much support and encouragement as we can. I'm sure if plenty of Puma fans are vocal in there support, the team will do there best to rise to the occasion. It is interesting to note that the teams that had the most vocal supporters last year got 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

My vote for most vocal supporters would have gone to wanganui, and there were lots of them.

Might have been just where we were sitting but every time Wellington, Hawkes Bay and Waikato were on the track the support was highly vocal.

I think the Pumas have had a bad couple of seasons (teams racing wise) Will be good to see them if they keep the same team for all the other Pre Stockcar teams championship races.
My picks for the Pumas would be:
P Rees 11p G Ward 197p J Cunningham 71p S Simpson 17p / or R Miers 15p f he has his own car S McIntosh 99p G Davis 31p B Humphreys 54p

I would Chose: G.Ward 197p P.Rees 11p G.Davis 31p R.Collingwood (Supposed to have both super and stockcar) 94p? R.Miers (Rees boy said Robs getting the 10p superstock chassis)15p Then Again I cant say who should be in the team as they have to prove them self 1st as they all having New cars so just cause they have big names shouldnt mean they in the team

;D oh really melchick i thought you were from nelson lol, Yeah i think the infield draw would bebetter for the massive crowd we will get again and hopefully we will have more seating,( which could be arranged if someone from the commitee contacts me) but i think the final will be between the young (old) guns and the mighty mount. If the draw goes that way that is.

Good looking team there Jayden. But i dont think Royden will teams race this season. Replace Royden with Shane Simpson, and then you could be close. So at this stage my Puma Team would be, Ward 97p (captain) Davis 31p Miers 15p Rees 11p Simpson 17p Reserve, Mason 34p
Leaving the Steelers Scooter 99p(captain ) Cunningham 71p Frear 32p Lloyd 92p Hairy 52p (if available )

Also Shane Simpson got asked to teams race for the Pumas in Wanganui and he turned it down, may have changed his mind now, has got some wicked pace and would be great to watch in a teams race.

Dont worry Huggies ! There will be a Steelers team ! And yes Shane was asked about teams racing last year, and he said he wasnt ready for teams racing then !
Anyway back to the topic....finally,
My thoughts are that the Pumas will rise again to upset the Young-Guns in the final !

A good under dog may well be Gisborne now they have two tanks, if Lloyd and Kuru race with there home track could easily upset a few otherwise go Hawkes Bay
