perhaps some serious advice now, you can't put too much effort into safety, the number one in my opinion is belts and the seat. make sure your seat is a good one that fits and protects you, get advice on mounting points as that has a bearing on how the seat will help absorb impacts. tighten up with those belts, retighten on the grid, tighten up on red lights and even on the track. heaps of padding is a good idea as arms and legs will fly arround with impacts. finally check out the wellington club website and " words of wisdom " from tony mac, written ages ago but still very valid. good luck

I've left Jarrods (29s) racetech seat in, just had to mount it way forward so I can reach the gears and peddles. We bought one of those belt harnesses to better pad chest and to give me a little more support around neck, seemed to do the trick in Taipa. Still not sure about the wings of the seat on each side of my helmet though, had a hard hit in Whangas that bounced the car round, slammed me head a little, but that was before I had the belt padding so I should be right with it now.
I agree totally with the belt thing, doesn't take much for them to slacken off.
Some great advice coming through guys, much appreciated

Don't use your mirror's worst bit of stockcar advice you could ever receive. In fact some guys take them out cos they effect their driving in alot of ways more than you think!!
