Will be my first time racing at a big track.. anyone have any useful advice? Preferably try not to tell me who to stay away from, I have a subconcious problem goin on, I'm more likely to do opposite (childhood thing ) but if you want, you can tell me to stay away from 57a all you want ;D

My best advice is to try and use your peripheral vision. Keep an eye on the car in front, but also into the next corner as well. There are so many drivers out there that dont, and end up slamming into some poor dude, stopped in the middle of the corner or something.

It's not so easy jumping from a saloon class into a full contact grade.......multitasking has never been a strong point for me.....yes , hard to believe a comment like that coming from a female . There are a lot of things I'm going to learn the hard way, but It has to be done.

Some things i have learnt and been told. Keep away from the wall it hurts. Always look a corner in front of you. Never give an inch and dont expect an inch I havent quite mastered that one yet

I'm attracted to dirt walls, think it may go the same way down there. I'm not expecting to be brilliant in my 1st season at Waikaraka , but I'll give it a darn good go ;D

you'll gain my respect 10 times faster if you dont puss e foot around me. Don't treat me as just another chick as I've never considered myself much of one (but I'm turning more girly now... I've cooked nearly every day for 2 weeks LMAO , thats a miricle in itself ;D). I don't mind being weined in, but if I do something wrong don't hesitate to pay me back

My advice from an old head, for your first couple off meetings.... Throw away the mirrors, you will spend too much time looking at who's coming behind you, Stick to your line, closer to pole the better ! Keep away from that wall,it will bloody hurt ! Listen to all advice, believe half off it ! Dont be affraid to ask questions ! The first one will be .... WHAT THE darn AM I DOING HERE ?

I'll definately take your advise for the first few meets pumafan, sounds good to me I'll never think 'wot the darn am I doing here'. I had a blast in Taipa. though it was only 26 cars and no concrete walls, I had the best time of my life .... It's an awesome sport. If I was barrel rolled, or was injured badly, I may change my thoughts and theres always the damage to the bank account that may scared me out of it

I agree. that's what I like about black tracks, having a few stockys only, you have to have fun to bring in the crowds. Though I must admit I do have a competitive streek that can take over rather quickly. Thanks pumafan
