The Gaskins is a huge one from a Wellington perspective. Are we going to see the bottom of the north dominance stopped this year?
Hopefully a few more south Island cars are just waiting till after the south Island champs to enter.

170 would b the most entrys so far in history of standard stocks i would say its going to be hectac come finals nite in the first corner 45 cars frm rotorua would be most cars at any title frm a single track shame palmy cant send there 90 drivers up will end up bein palmy rotorua teams race in finals

Out of curiosity what's the most entries for a NZ stockcar champs? just under 200 at Stratford entered but only 173 turned up and about 4 of them didn't race due to not passing scruitineering and not changing their cars for whatever reason

Yeah, I think Stratty capped their entry at 180 (6 groups of 30 cars), but had a waiting list of about 15 which effectively = 195.
I thought 173 actually raced in the end (as opposed to just turned up), but don't have my prgramme or any other info with me to check that. 173 is the official figure that Rotorua has to beat to take the record I believe, although maybe there was a few less cars actually took to the track in Stratford.
