making coil overs? (Read 912 times)

Hi all
can anyone give me some help. looking at making coil-overs for my stockcar, been told to thread up 2" pipe. what I need to know is how long should I make the threads and total length.
have got hold of a pipe threader for the weekend so want to get some made.
any help would be great

depends on what shocks/springs you'll be running.
If you have your shock at it's finished ride height(approx 1/2 stroke)and your spring at loaded height-it'll become clear what length the sleeve/adjustable part needs to be.
