Rotorua should have done awesome the last few years with the drivers they have had. palmy and nelson will do as palmy and nelson do. wellington could be a dark horse. wangas have good some good racers and hitters. hawkes bay will probably fail at final hurdle as usual. Its group 3 that will be the most interesting of the 4 groups. I'll throw my support behind palmy but will definately be watching rotorua.

Wanganui hands down, not one eyed at all, but they've beaten most of the teams before....but always narrowly miss out against the panthers.
This is the year of the Warrior!

Wildcats will win because;
1: They have a driver I consider to be one of the most complete teams racers ever to have graced the seat of a stockcar, Dale Robertson.
2: Paul Gaskin will be under orders from his sister to look after her husband, so will do so by smashing the hell out of the opposition.
3: After having experienced Paul Fairbrothers behind the scenes expertise have found him, contary to first impressions, to be a highly intellegent chap. He will out think the opposition and run rings around them.
4: Alan Levien has always displayed his best form under the leadership of Graham Gaskin and with Tony Mac's old number on his door will be absolutely devastating all weekend.
5: The vastly experienced Mike Pye is running Ian Kings old number, therefore all the old school members of opposition teams will see it, have all the old memories of what Ian inflicted on them in the past flood back and so lose the plot that Mike will have a free run all weekend.
6: There is only one person that would be a more astute manager than Tony Mac, and we have him at the helm of the Wildcats.
