Here's an open letter to Bruce Robertson:
Gidday Bruce; just wanted to share an idea with you. On the first night of Teams Champs last year, you had to compress the programme because of the weather and the track repairs, but once the meeting got underway, it flowed really well. You did all the coin tosses for pole position before the racing started, and when teams did their hot laps, you had both on the track at once. That immediately eliminated some of the downtime between races.
This year, you've got an extra race to fit in on Night One. At the Stockcar Teams, it was great to see you'd kept up the hot laps initiative, but I still didn't get home to Wanganui until midnight. So how about it; by all means introduce the teams the first time they race, but do the tosses in advance, and do the intros whilst the cars are gridding up, or on the slowdown lap after the hot laps. If you do the coin tosses at or after the drivers' briefing, then everyone goes onto the track knowing what's happening. You don't have to announce them; the commentator can do that once the cars are out on the track.
The Superstock Teams Champs is the premier meeting of the speedway season, both in terms of action, but more importantly crowd numbers. Unnecessary breaks between races are a real turn-off for me, and I reckon that this is one area which could just speed things up a little, and let old fellas like Wiseowl and me get home and get our much-needed beauty sleep.
Other than that, all the best for a great weekend of Superstock action; it looks like you've done a deal with the man upstairs for the weather!
Kind regards
Tony (long-time watcher; first-time suggester!)

that's the time that everyone goes to toilet as there's nothing to watch. I like to see the cars do their warm-up if they don't have the down time when will i get to use the toilets. I might have to get a colostomy bag

There's plenty of toilet or hotdog time while the winners are doing their victory lap, or while munted cars are removed from the track. And if you don't want to go to the toilet all the time, just don't drink so much!

Just like the good ol day of watching Rugby But like the idea of doing the coin toss off the trac before racing. maybe Have intro on the big screen like they do in Rugby,Face, car and number.

Kind regards Tony (long-time watcher; first-time suggester!) You do have to take into consideration for the 2 min bell in every race because you never know if a team will need it. So straight after the warm up, drivers are introduced from each team then the coin toss so that would take approx 2 mins.

That's true Gwen, although that's another pet hate of mine, especially in the first race of the night; you'd think that guys would have their cars race-ready rather than having to hold up proceedings while the crew jumps the fence and makes an adjustment or ten.
My point though is that tyhere are things that the promoters can do to keep racing flowing, and keep the level of interest up.

Sorry, but both Tigers and Scrappers fans will go home disappointed on Sunday night; this is the Year of the Warrior!

Dear Bruce
Congratulations on a great night's racing last night. It went like clockwork, with no annoying delays; just as well, as another race in the drizzle after the Panthers v Lions race might have been touch and go.
So credit where it's due; look forward to a repeat effort tonight, and if you can just arrange for the rain to stay away.....

Sorry, but both Tigers and Scrappers fans will go home disappointed on Sunday night; this is the Year of the Warrior! Lions have the Glen Eagles Warriors have the Wanderers Lions will get more points out of their win than against the winner of the Warriors Wanderers race and this is the first year Ive admitted that the Lions are a very good team they know what they are doing and what they have to do

Why aren't the presentations done in front of the grand stand where the biggest group of fans are sitting? Also why didnt the monster truck squash the BMW in front of the grand stand?

What was the point of the monster truck anyway? Waste of racing time

What was the point of the monster truck anyway? Waste of racing time To give the mustangs more time to repair there cars between races. They only had about 20mins. When the monster truck came out they weren't even on the dummy grid. I too don't understand why the grandstand was neglected. The people in the grandstand are your top paying customers and at the top of the grandstand is your corporate boxes with your sponsors in them. Makes sense to me to put the monster truck and presentations in front of it

have to agree. the only team that came anywhere near the grandstand after presentations was the Lions. hung around for a while but it was obvious no one else was coming our way. i realise the start/finish line is the traditional prize giving area for most motorsport but in the spirit of listening to the fans maybe alternate each year ? the grandstand was chocker both nights so surely those fans deserve a crack as well ?
