A bit unsure why Ewers was out there, bit of a shame for his final teams race to not even be in it with young McKenzie on the infield.

There is no refuting, that race was won on the track, no bad calls, no back hand deals just two teams fronting up and facing each other. The better team won on the night.

Ive never seen the wildcats but knew there was quite a bit of hype behind the name. The cars all looked fantastic.
Out of curiosity whose car was Robertson driving? Certainly didnt look like his Gordge.

Best Teams Champs in a while! While i wanted to see the P get smashed, it was awesome that even tho they won, the divide between the majority of teams has closed to provide a heap of great races that could go either way. In fact the final was probably the least even, with Ewers taking a place on the grid and not starting. Congrats Palmy.. just too good and skilled so if some bomb out the others can cover like the semi.

Well done Panthers. I kinda felt sorry for the Nelson car that was stalled in front of me on the Grandstand straight (I think it was Ewers). Tough luck Nelson, maybe next year. Drunk idiots abusing people should be treated as drunk idiots, please don't judge the rest of us based on a few idiots that IMO should be tossed out by security. Most of us are well reasoned people who know to give credit where credit is due.
As for Rees not being moved back in the semi against the Rebels, I thought he should have been moved back, and was surprised to see that he wasn't. But it was the refs call.
All in all, I thought it was a good night, with mostly clean racing. Mustangs were a bit stupid in their races, especially the one that decided to tear up the grass a bit and got him self sent back to the pits, there's just no need for that stupidity.
Race of the night has to be Mustangs vs Wanderers, what a race! Congratulations to Karl Ross and commiserations to Kerry Humphrey, the last couple of laps of you two dueling it out was amazing.

It was Andy McCabe wasn't it? Regardless a fantastic race. And something interesting was said in the interviews on speedbox. Some of the fans on 3 and 4 were obviously giving Rees heaps after his roll/fire incident and in his words "it pissed him off but it gave him another gear tonight".

Quote of the night "Wer'e gladiators without horses and its a bit %@#$ing stupid" -Shane Penn, Palmerston North Panther. Nah, quote of the night has to be Nigel Anderton of the Glen Eagles with his brilliant "Without the Fire Marshall's we would all be ****ed." Someone forgot to tell him its supposed to be a family show!
