This whole issue should be dropped until there are some clear-cut guidelines as to what 'gaining an advantage' actually is. At the moment it is the ref's call, and it would be a brave ref to make that call. You regularly see cars coming out of the corner sideways and bumping the back bumper against the wall to straighten themselves up. (I used to do that all the time, its the fastest way out of Placemakers at Huntly) Is that gaining an advantage?
You could even make the case that putting another car up the wall is using the wall to your advantage. That would make teams racing in particular and stockcar racing in general pretty boring. Sure, some cars use the wall to gain speed around the corner, but isn't the wall available to everyone on track? You are also opening yourself up for a major hit if the car behind cuts across to (but not over) the poleline in the corner; they'd smash you into the wall big time.
Maybee the teams should just accept that its going to happen and devise tactics to counter it.

Well said, if you want to hang out there good luck to you. At the speed Scotty had on last night he would have been in serious trouble had he been tagged.
