His drive in the Panthers vs Rebels semi was totally impressive . Rees won that race on his own ...

Very clever racing , and certainly unstoppable even when he was rolled, still fired up and away again. Hes not unstoppable, but is darn close to it, as the Poms found out on Saturday night. You need to get him on his lid and keep him there as if he lands back on his wheels, he will keep going. He'd probably write his car off to win if that's what it took, and probably have it ready to race again the next night!

I am a firm and passionate "P" basher but bloody hell what an awesome drive against rotorua. Hands down he was the standout driver of the meeting. Congrats on the teams win much deserved. good on ya chap!

That semi final was a great race, he managed to fight off Scotty and another Rebels car (Steiny I think?) on the S/F straight then spent about 5 laps bashing his way past everything with a R on it to take the flag.
The final was an excellent teams race everyone played their part. Bad luck to Nelson when Blair's bonnet came off, could of been a different story if he wasn't pulled off so early.
Pete and the teams efforts made me a very happy Panthers supporter as I was surrounded by Rebels and Tigers shirts both nights.
He's good but IMO he needs to get 1NZ Sstock to be put right up there but if you talk to him (and P. Bengston too) he lives for teams racing and the teams trophy is more important to him than the 1NZ.

The most awesome thing about this thread to me is the absence of any bashing of Peter. It was truly a great drive and its good to see Macgorians being able to recognise this.
Stopped in at one of his sponsors on the trip home and great to see some of the pictures/memorabilia on the wall including a tribute to Robyn Pratt. DVD playing on the TV, cars painted all over the outtside walls - lets add a great promotor of the sport to the list of accolades.
Well done to all who have posted in this thread!

I have to agree with you there . He is the best .. And there is nobody around racing at the moment that would come close to him..

For those observant ones.... you might have even noticed he even wore a Brit-pommie polo shirt before the racing on the 1st night as per the photo...unreal!!
What is it with this guy
quite a unique guy really !!!

I think the best thing about Peter is hes such a cool customer. I almost wonder weather he has a party mode or if hes always in a sort of kick back mode. When he wins events he so humble and matter of fact about it all, even when he had the interview with BB and said he was annoyed at the abuse he didnt even seem angry he was just sort of stating a fact.
A very cool customer and an easy person to respect, now all we need is people to respectfully hit him in titles.
Your a champ Pete.
