I thought Darryl went fantastic for AUckland. He was a bit of a lone warrior for the Auckland team. I thought in an under strength team he showed his teams racing class. Not bad for someone who hadnt been on the track for the best part of 18months

Not bad for someone who hadnt been on the track for the best part of 18months Yes he was awsome and showed just like Dave Roidgard did at Huntly that he can drive to instructions and when asked to do a KING hit, he sure does a good job. He puts all he has into it for the team. There is a good lot of pics halway down the goslidewaystv thread of a job well done . Click to the link and scroll down the page macgor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=goslideways&thread=21665&page=61#281390Nice.

I'm well aware he's raced for Auckland before but when you are trying to sell up, yet you come out and deliver a performance like that for another province is pretty special.
It's way to easy to forget the level of commitment and risk that Hammond had going on last weekend. There is every chance he could have come away from the meeting with thousands of dollars worth of damage but he still put his hand up, that deserves a lot of respect. People like him are the backbone of speedway and deserve all the credit they get.
