can anyone out there advise who is the expert on working 3.9 rover heads, the ones i have are late 90,s [discovery] fuel injected, any help would be much appreciated, cheers

g/day charlie just be carefull with those 3,9 heads they develope hot spots try for a set of 4.6 heads flowed totaly different from the factory bigger ports & intake bolt straight on 10.1 all injected as they dont make a carburated motor any more these heads are the same as the latest 5.2 on the other hand you can work a set of sdi 3.5 heads & are better than the 3.9 bolt straight on just leave out the bottom row of studs .  hic or better still can sell you a stroker motor ;D |

cheers porry, where can i find a set of 4.6 heads and what would they set me back ,thanks for the info, how much more would i get out of it compared to the std 3.9 heads,

there were some on trademe a while ago think start bid was 800 .about 30hp bolt on .hic ;D

I realise that 4stree, that is why I was asking MrP.
I would be quite keen for that sought of HP.
Should still get a bit even with a restricter on.

these are road car specs my motor was built in the uk as per targa car specs going by dyno sheets 330hp but ive changed the cam to speedway specs & had to lower the comp was 14.1 ! meth materail that you cant run in a saloon would like to try it with injection hat on but can u run injection on a ltd ? another subject i suppose .i dont no about restrictor i wouldnt like to run one tank im thinking off pulling that motor out of the car thats for sale & putting the 3.9 back in it or selling the car as a roller & selling the 3.9 seperatly .but not giving that motor away for 15k so far 1 diff head 1 clutch 1 r/r tyre dusted off ;D
