Very sad news. I understand he wasn't well for some time, RIP Graham Smith, father of Snoopy. Deepest sympathy from myself & my family goes out to Graham's family & friends. The Snoopy car/driver combination was arguably the most popular when I was a young bloke, certainly amongst the best. Brendan Lucas image hosting pngThis taken late 70's

It is very sad day, Graham will always be remembered as a true hard racer, who always enjoyed his time on the race track , but if help was needed in the pits he was the first to help. A true legend who will never be forgotten. Feathers. President Waikato GoldenOldies Stock Car Club.

Our sincerest condolences to Graham's Family & Friends, a true Stockcar Legend that can now Rest In Peace, what an absolutely amazing driver who in the late 60's and early 70's was the HERO of many and the reason many drivers (who became Legends in their own right) got into the sport originally....think of Forest Lake, you think of SNOOPY out there entertaining. Nellie, our thoughts are with you, we are sure it will be a great send off with many wonderful stories told of a Legend that is a HUGE part of Stockcar history.

I think Snoopy was one of the best performing most reliable cars of it's time and whenever we went to forest lake it was always the first car we looked for and on the track I can not remember it ever disappointing and obviously Graham and his crew were a credit to our sport . I still get a buzz out of seeing Snoopy hit the track and long may that continue . So sympathies to Grahams family from 77k and crew .

Very sad news to hear of Graham's passing......... condolences to family and friends. One of the great stockcar heroes of the 1970s. Condolences too from the Historic Stock Car Club of New Zealand which Graham was a member of for a time. I had the pleasure of catching up with Graham shortly after the restoration of Snoopy 8H back in July 2006. The car was at his workshop and he had great pleasure in firing the car up and bringing out for a look. The smile on his face was just a picture and I'm sure they must have heard the mighty V8 roar all the way back to Forest Lake Stadium. Rest well Graham and thanks for all the memories of those Saturday night thrills and spills you provided for so many people over the years. You will always be remembered. Attachments:
