In my opinion..this would have to go to Shane Davis from the Young Guns.
He has come out of nowhere, always under the radar.. but last night, he definitely proved that he is a force to be reckoned with.
Shane put in some big hits, which I have never seen Shane do before, and seemed to be relishing the role of blocker instead of runner.
So, in your own opinion.. who is your most under-rated driver from the teams champs?

Gavin Taniwha - did absolutely everything a blocker is supposed to do with absolute class and a minimum of fuss.
But you're right, Shane Davis has improved. The Young Guns should be cracker again next season if Dale Robertson is back...

The Pumas are my team, and I totally forgot about Gav (senior moment lol), and yes, he is another that seems to slip under the radar .... and the Young Guns should be a force again next year, cause PG will probably be back as well ( as long as he dont break anything again lol)

67g Nick Vallance, held up 3 rascals for more than a lap then later in the night pulled off a move very like the cars previous owner, was walled entering turn 3 & looked to be heading onto his roof but kept going back off the wall & straight back on the power

I would agree, from watching a stream and not at the track itself, it seemed to me that Gavin did extremely well and was overshadowed by Rees drive. I don't think Gavin put in many huge hits, but he sure did drive alot of people to the wall or to the grass at crucial points, and his car showed alot of reliability too. Im not entirely sure which car was which all of the time, but i think that the whole Alleycats team was on form, and despite missing, or not quite getting the result they wanted it was good to see them all having shots at Rees.. with so much youth in the team and a few old hands around for experience, i can see these guys tussling it out with the Pumas for the top spot quite alot in the coming years.

For me personaly i thought Brendan tye did an outstanding blocking job both nights and was prepared to lay it on the line when ever he went out to battle.

For me i have 3 and they are Iremonger, vallence,G Taniwha all did well for thier teams and played a big role. An interesting fact i found out was 8 palmy registered drivers finished on the podium the pumas(6), Dare(Blenheim) and Iremonger(Auckland)

Jordan dare, last two teams meetings has showen he can block as good as anyone with out damaging his car. And we all no how quick he is. Good to see Alec Wilson showing his running ability too

for me it was bruce harding And the announcer took his kudos by not giving him credit for the Huntly crash of two cars. I was beside Bruce when the Huntly driver shook his hand and said it was a great shot. He thought there was a gap there and Bruce closed it down. Bruce said he couldn't believe it when he tried to go around him.

Hate to say it but Russell may be losing it as an announcer. Credit where its due though, Harding was a man with a plan this w/e. But I agree with the TA, Shane Davis was definitely under the radar all weekend, shown up by the flashier Scooter. But Shane did brilliant.

For me, the stand out driver was Hilton Parker. He rolled two cars last weekend: Regan O'Brien and Sam Thompson. Good work Hilton!

No doubt - The Green Hornet - the best Block man in the Business - watch this guy, he's a real talent, takes guys to the grass, slows up the leaders, never gets rolled, doesn't incur much damage and if need be can run, knows how to read a race, top man Gav - now all I need to find is $35,000 to purchase the Tank.........
