British Lions team for this is:
Frankie Wainman Jnr Danny Wainman Mark Taylor Ryan Harrison Murray Harrison 6th Driver Mark Woodhull.
No Tom Harris year, reasons are cloudy as to why, but he got a 6 month ban for some incident at the awards night and that means he can't race anywhere, so thats my guess....
How well will we do, who knows, but I'm looking forward to it already, fly out a week on tuesday.
There was mention of us having a practice teams race with Auckland the weekend before at Waikaraka Park, don't know if this is still the case - anyone else know?

Teams that I know of are: Palmy Panthers Peter Rees Peter Bengston Scott Miers Shane Penn and either Jack Miers, Wayne Hemi or Scott Joblin. Personally I think it should be Jack Miers in the final spot. He always manages to roll someone or do a lot of damage in that tank of his. If he does get chosen, then my guess is that there will be 3 tankers in the Panthers.

That would be the case as thats what he used in stratford for the mustangs, think that may be who he ends up racing for Scott Joblin showed in the final race that he can block etc rather than his normal running role so may have made his case then

My pick would be Scott though..Panthers have endless blocking power with Miers, Rees, Bengsten & 1nz Penn all some of the best in the buisness at both running & blocking..Scotts got a little way to go but showing great pace lately just gota bit of work to do on timing of hits...

Scott (Joblin) hasn't really showed us his blocking ability as he was mainly runner last season (I think), and Jack has definitely showed that he can block as well as run. So therefore I think it should be Jack. Plus it would be good if they put someone with little teams experience so they can learn what it's like for future teams events.

In theory he can still race but his ban would restart on the date last raced but saying that I would imagine the Lions would not allow him on the team anyway because of the ban.

Such a shame that Tom isn't in the team. He has been really good the last few years. Well, rules are rules and if you break them, you get banned. Big loss for the lions. At least this gives new drivers a chance to show us what they've got in relation to teams racing.

When it comes to the British the best thing to do will run either Danny or Frankie as the runner and the rest as blockers especially Ryan Harrison who I hope drives the Tank.

Which tank would that be, pretty sure it's earmarked for the panthers seeing as the owner has been racing it all year

Are you sure it's new this season & not the car that Asher drove for the rest of the season after the teams champs last year? Seems a bit strange to own 2 cars the same in the same class & keep 1 to lease out for 1 teams race meeting only each year

So where is last years Superstock tank? According to the Rees Race Cars website, it is currently for sale. So I;d say it's sitting in Pete's shed.
