How many teams have changed their names since Teams Champs V1.0? Palmy B became something else (can't remember what now) then the Mustangos. Nelson Knockers became the Nelson Tigers Auckland may have been something else before the All Stars. Any others I think, in Auckland, there was an Attackers team as well as the All Stars

I picked up my tickets today at the rear of the grandstand, and noticed that most of the top stands along the main straight behind the start finish line have been roped off again like last year? A big group of us have lined up early and at 3pm ran to sit up the top by the FMG sign for the last 5-6 years. Now it looks like last year, we will end up closer to turn 4. Seems like in the next few years the entire straight will be booked out to sponsers or pre booked embankment and the general admission will only have the corners to fight over.
Anyway! cant wait! bring on tomorrow!

Right that's it were leaving Wanganui now to finally see a spectacle we've wanted to see for years. Hope all drivers make it through safely and have fun at it. No interweb for a few days now but we will put on a bit of what we thought when we can. Hope everyone enjoys the racing and even if (when) Team GB do it you still all give them a cheer lol. See you their.

Rotorua and the Mount joined together for the teams champs even though they had competitive teams themselves. I am not too sure why. Maybe they were allocated just the one place between them. Sad to see that some teams are no longer with us. I remember the days of the fearsome Gisborne Grizzlies!!!!

That's it it's all over for our first NZ Team Champs. How do we a couple from GB explain it, erm ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I think that just about covers it in a nutshell. Right from the off its been fantastic everyone we have spoken to has given us a little bit of stick/banter but always in good humour and never aggressive or disrespectful. The NZ Teams themselves, have been fantastically welcoming to UK fans. From The Manawata Mustangs and Palmerston North Panthers especially Russell and Karen Joblin and Scott Miers opening doors you would never normally get to see. The Nelson Tigers laughing and joking all weekend. The 2 tracks we visited Rotorua and Palmy great facilities and excellent spectator tracks. The other fans of the sport we have met from both NZ and the UK even Graham Hughes of Sportsweb photography who no matter how much we waved still never found us as he explained over a drink after the meeting. someone get him a bigger zoom lens lol. We will make a determined effort to keep in touch with and look forward to meeting again. Then there's the racing. As i tried to explain to Russell. Unbelievable absolutely well mental really. He just laughed and simply said "nah nah we aren't". I still beg to differ lol. It's better than we imagined having only watched you tube footage before its dramatic and flat out. Every driver out their deserves a medal. It's so easy to sit up in the crowd and shout for your drivers to get on and bury the opposition but every single one of them by the end of these weekends must ache crack and creak like you wouldn't believe. The whole weekend was awesome. From a personal point Team GB did us so proud coming up against the Panthers and really going at them from the flag looked like it was simply if there cars can't take it we got it if they can then they deserve the final and hell did they make them work for that one. After that the final itself was fantastic to watch two teams with family ties and similar to the UK we have a lot of family connections on track, but when the green drops its cars not people just cars, respect and a will to win. The young uns will get their time but in the meantime congratulations to the Panthers on a master class of grit and talent. thanks so much for your hospitality were now in Wellington and off to the south for a few days before sadly having to fly out of here back to blighty. Do us a favor though keep our seats warm we're sure we are coming back
