Apart from 1 hiccup in race 3 i think it was, the feed went great, i ran on medium settings to kee usage lower and not 1 jump or skip. Sure its not perfect, but heck the cost of me getting from brisbane to palmy to watch live would be 50 times more than the price of this. Ill be back tommorow for another go

The commentary has been good , I like the flow of information. Just the stop/start nature of the stream is frustrating

They redeemed themselves well. If they can learn from the errors tonight and carry over the good parts it will be well worth the money. Camera work got better, just need to work a little on audio levels, especially the pit roamer.

I thought the commentators tonight were just superb. They made the videohub footage worth watching because you could work out what you were watching and how it was fitting into the context of the race.
The stream came through to us well. As mentioned there was a stoppage but it came back on at the start of the next race. Other than that no drama's with the feed. We had it hooked up to the TV and the quality wasn't too bad. There did seem to be variation with the quality of the camera's. We did have the sound up high on the TV to hear it, seemed a bit quiet.
The cameramen during the races were generally good. They picked up the vast majority of the action and the camera switches were ok. They did however struggle under red lights and between races. It also appeared that they got tired as their work in the last couple of races deteriorated.
I think they have a base from which they can improve and they have a product with potential to be very good.
One thing to improve on is the replay function. They would play the same replay 5 times over in quick succession! But I really liked the highlights montage they were putting together and playing between races. Sadly they seemed to stop that for the last 4-5 races for some reason.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised.

Yip, they got their act together and put on a good show.. worth the US$60... To be honest, debateable. But Gold medal for bravery for Sam the camera man!!!! Make all of tomorrow nights stream like the last half of tonight and you have yourselves a winner... Ohh the dude that does the captions, you need to go back to school.. You counted the races wrong LOL

Loved tonights broadcast videohub. For someone who cannot make the meeting, any footage is very much appreciated no matter how good/bad it is. I am a person whose cup is half full.... thank you videohub and palmy speedway for what you have provided us tonight. Lets hope tomorrow is just as good!

the difference between the $15 service and the $25 service was a couple more camera angles. the quality of feed and coverage was still in my opinion $15 worth. to date there has been no justification for the hike to $40 i can only summise it is a money grab for a major event..... as a consumer the more i pay the more i expect unfortunately my suspicions were correct and i/we paid $40 for a $ 25 production. in my opinion there was not much difference in quality from the $15 service. there were a few more cameras thrown in and some interviewing . i prefer the $15 dollar service, that i am quite happy to pay for and receive 2 camera angles and commentary only. would be quite happy with that along with the freezes, dropouts, poor audio volume, and all the other niggles that should not be part of a premium paid product. they can do the $15 dollar service any other time, why not stick with it and have happy customers untill such time as they can offer a premium product to justify their premium price. unfortunately i see it as a money grab, just as the beer cost $6 a can.... trouble is i can do without the beer

Just dont pay, then you have nothing to moan about. But then you miss out all together. I give them credit for even giving people the option to see the event via the internet.

2 sides to every story.
Yes we should be grateful that we even have a streaming service to bring us to the track BUT when you are paying nearly the same price as a ticket to the track for a premium event (and considering speedboxes prices vs what palmy charges every other week) you can expect a premium service.
My only BIG gripe last night was the 6 or 7 minute outage during the first busters race and then coming back on without any sound. That should never have happened. However they redeemed themselves some what, the only other minor issues were intermittent freezing for seconds at a time and a little audio imbalance.
Considering the price thats nearly the price for a live boxing match and I doubt that quality was delivered. I hope that IF this was a little cash grabbing exercise (based on non teams weekend prices) that they use the money to upgrade the equipment to provide a better service next year.
The be happy with what you paid for attitude is often how nutsty businesses continue to be nutsty instead of improve (not suggesting Palmy speedway or video hub are a nutsty business but there is room for improvement).

We watched the stockcar teams virtually pause free. But last night was pretty much unwatchable we did manage to get them to put us on the low stream was slightly better but really unwatchable pausing every couple of seconds even on low stream. They tried to say it was because we were on wireless but we had had no problem for the stockcar teams so I suspect it was sheer volume causing it. Racing tonight so will miss it but after last night we aren't missing much.
