Does Rusty normally work on his own? When i have subscribed to streams and stuff, he has not been that good, and at the stockcar teams, the pendulum swung a few too many times, and often when i have got a stream, people have complained about him on threads too.. but this weekend the banter between him and Jamie was great, and they worked well together with Barry Brown and David Poppelwell. It was a great team, and like i said in another thread, maybe Rusty just needs someone to work with, because he fitted right in with the best over the last few nights.

It takes a great ability for anyone to publicly speak as a commentator, for one person on his or her own then it just makes the job even harder.
From the tracks Ive attended for normal and championship events the difference is huge.
In a normal night the poor commentator often has a huge job with no one to bounce off and crack jokes with or even add little tidbits of history and info about cars/drivers...
During championships theres usually two or more commentators that can work together to take a fair share of the load, providing new jokes, new sayings - not so many "pendulum swings" repetitions - and sometimes more info and historical knowledge...

i agree although in palmy we have a man in the hut and a man on the infield so thats two that could entertain the public
