2 snipes joined at the butt. Where else can you get 2 snipes in one place to do this. Does anyone know how many derbies these have been in, I recall seeing them last year. Would someone pay good money for them to restore to their former glory?  |

Mine was in its 4th Derby, Brothers was in its 2nd..
4 ramp races derbies between them.. Broke my steering box on the first corner first lap, so decided rather than pull off to simply wreck as much gear as I could lol!
Both were originally picked up off trademe, both had to replace the fuel tanks - brothers was nearly rusted out completely. Mine had been parked up for 15 years - was a Ex MOT car from Winton.

Hard case things, I think they should go into a, demolition derby hall of fame.
Didn't these ones have the gearshift between the drivers seat and door?

Hard case things, I think they should go into a, demolition derby hall of fame. Didn't these ones have the gearshift between the drivers seat and door? These models have collum change gear levers as standard. |

Thats right, 4spd's.
Bit hard to get into gear sometimes after sitting for awhile or a few good knocks lol!

Yeah the Supersnipes are a big old lumbering beast. Mine was way too far gone to be returned to the road Chris' one however... Was great fun driving the old girl round. The spectators seemed to enjoy watching them go round very slowly a lot more than watching the late model jap crap. Mine will live to die another day.
