Brett's guide to scoring-this thread is primarily a results thread ,please use the main board for tipping and discussion -although the odd brag is acceptable and expected here
For a podium pick in the correct finishing position: 1st = 5 points 2nd = 4 points 3rd = 3 points Six bonus points for the correct podium and finishing positions. For a podium pick with a different finishing position: 1st, 2nd, 3rd = 1 point Three bonus points for the correct podium but different finishing positions. This applies to cases where someone picks the winner correctly but second and third are reversed, to extrapolate: EG, 1st pick comes 1st = 5 points 2nd pick comes 3rd = 1 point 3rd pick comes 2nd = 1 point And three bonus points for a correct podium in a different finishing order: Total: 10 points. 1 bonus point per class for correctly picking the top qualifier. Any bonus rounds like first kiwi home for the internationals, top 3 international points etc we can decide in the coming weeks

The track did throw a curve ball with a lot of picks counting sadly for naught (mine included) however some of us still managed a decent point haul. Next week sees the first round of the international sprint cars and our first bonus picking round of the season. One bonus point for correctly picking the top finishing kiwi driver, one for correctly picking their finishing position (you've got a chance even if the name's wrong) and I'll round it up to 3 total for correctly picking driver and finishing position.

Meeting #3 results for everyone, brutus21 way to put on a picking clinic in the sprintcars! andrewt where were you the first two meets, excellent work with the winged things as well. nakimidget might have to alter that screen name to nakisprinter... Haha thanks and welcome to the comp. The midgets kept everybody guessing, it's going to be a hard task to pick the test team representatives with everybody showing good speed on the fresh track. Going to be good for Meeting #4, bring it on!

A big shake-up in the standings after the December 1 meeting with the midget feature proving harder to pick than a broken nose. Congrats to doctor46, new points leader!

Another shake up at the top of the leaderboard this week! I've included only the midget results as the sprint car feature was not run, if it's made up on a later date we'll revisit it. delboy and charlie top job guys on your picks, delboy man you threw a slider from a mile back to lead the standings! The next round will be boxing day which is our first round of the POWRi International Midget Series, so naturally there'll be bonus points up for grabs. I'm thinking for this the first round we'll pick the top test team for one bonus point, and the top scoring driver for another bonus point. Here's hoping the bad weather is on vacation too, looking forward to seeing everybody trackside on the 26th.

Good round of picking (for most of us) saw delboy increase his points lead with a solid haul in both classes. Next meeting is the 30 lapper on Dec 28 and we'll be picking the top finishing Australian (name and position) with one bonus point to have either correct, and three for both. Good luck pickers!

Things have tightened up at the top of the leaderboard with karter55 now banging wheels with delboy just after half distance. The biggest race of the year is tomorrow, and everyone has 10,000 reasons why they want their name etched onto the trophy. The race brings it's own unique format with qualifying so we'll do a qualifying themed bonus pick for this meet. I need your pick for the laptime that will win the pole tomorrow night (down to 3dp), and the criteria will be one bonus point for each DIGIT you get correct. I've provided an example below so that I can understand it, but for the mathematically adept it shouldn't pose an issue. Happy new year to all and happy picking! EXAMPLE:Pick : 1 3 . 8 4 9 Actual: 1 4 . 8 1 9 Result: 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 bonus points.
