This promises to be a great event on a true stock car track.
A number of drivers attending have tasted success on this track and already a few have visited this season to test the surface and track prior to this major event.
Numbers are pretty good and with a few late entries yet to be received and permitted the field could grow to 60.
Promises to be a great meeting and the most deserved driver will take home the championship. Graeme Barr, who pedals the Stratty Oval very well will be hard pressed to defend his title in this one.
Track representations (as of sunday dec 1st) : Stratford - 20, Palmerston North - 13, Hawkes Bay - 8, Wanganui - 5, Rotorua - 4, Auckland - 3, Wellington - 1, Baypark - 1

Wow 20 superstocks from Stratford would be the first time in years that Stratford have had the most present at a major event. I really hope they can all work together and finally get and S back on the top step again like the old days. If they cant all work together and help to get eleast 1 car on that podium with there home track advantage and nearly double the entries than palmy im ot sure if Stratford will ever get back on the map. Bring back the old days where Stratford dominated national titles ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

hats of to strat-ford for keeping their prices @ $15 for a speedway sanctioned event a lot of other clubs would have raised their prices perhaps that's why they get decent spectator numbers each weekend ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)

Agreed there ..Some of these tracks are making speedway so unaffordable these days. Most people are just picking out the meetings that they will attend as the costs are a bit too much for a family outing on regular basis..

In order to get a S car on the podium they will first need to get a few in the finals. Qualifying itself on the friday night promises to be great racing. There are a number of drivers from other tracks who are familiar with the stratty track also. Barr, Joblins, Ngatai etc etc…It will definitely be worth $15 Friday night and $20 Saturday night.
Will the big screen be present. It has been great when present at other big events at stratty

Also 282s and 39s - they would have to be 3 of stratfords best going on form of last season.

Thanks Stratford for keeping the prices right so family's can go and enjoy.

Palmy's opening costs per night are alot more expensive than any other track in the country hence the higher gate cost! something that Bruce & Puk cant do anything about really. Best facility in the country so unfortunatly someone has to pay for this

I've taken a couple of posts off this thread because they are off topic. The topic is the Nth Island Superstock Champs at Stratford.
