Palmy's opening costs per night are alot more expensive than any other track in the country hence the higher gate cost! something that Bruce & Puk cant do anything about really. Best facility in the country so unfortunatly someone has to pay for this It may be the best facility(or one of) but the there costs are the same each week or annually so it is all about making $$$$$. cant blame them tho id prob do the same!

Every track has costs, Stratford give a fair percentage of the gate take, to the A & P society every week. Its an incurred cost that is not measured by the promotion, I personally believe some private promotions are getting too greedy, you only have to look the amount of empty seats to work out that going to speedway in some regions is getting cost prohibited. And don't even start me on palmy running a meeting against Stratford on NI superstock weekend.l

Palmy may be running a meeting which has been in their calendar the whole season but they aren't running superstocks so I don't really see the problem. Plenty of tracks seem to run opposing meetings during title season without complaint

Plenty of tracks seem to run opposing meetings during title season without complaint Honestly Palmy had it on the Calender all year lol!I think you might just find that Nth Is SuperStock champs was allocated to Stratford quite a bit before Palmy decided on their calender this year, although there not running Superstocks they are still taking bums off seats at Stratford from supports and other competitors that could have raced at Stratford in the support programe, as someone indicated in an earlier thread it is about greed or professionalism i guess. $$$ are what makes an organisation successful, promotion is what makes $$$ if it comes at someone elses cost well thats business and thats what Palmy speedway run a business! I wonder where there profit goes to. Manawatu A&P Society?? Tui add "yeah rite"

There is no racing in Palmy this weekend and after next weekend there is no racing till the NZ champs on the 28th.Last time I looked there are pretty healthy numbers in other palmy classes, so because Stratford are running the North island Supers you would have Palmy tell the other classes (and their supporters) that they can sit at home and not run and Palmy fans can go a month without their speedway fix ? I am a PN resident but I will be at stratford. There are plenty of people who cant afford the travel costs and who support other classes who would not have gone to stratford anyway so I don't see what the problem is quite frankly

Wanganui has the Stockcar Grand Prix and north island Superstocks tonight. Rotorua appear to be running stockcars and superstocks with a superstock teams race tonight. A competing meeting with competing classes - how dare they take all those competitors and fans away from Wangavegas ! (tongue firmly in cheek but perhaps a point to consider ?)

I really dont know why some people post stuff on here without checking what there posting about!!! Dates, Meetings, etc... The excitment of being able to make a point over rides that actual facts... Maybe check whats really happening before making a post or dont talk kaka, makes me laugh sometimes. Not pointing the finger at anyone directly but some people are like two lost soles swimming in a fish bowl year after year!!

ok so its the WEST COAST Supers then. still doesn't alter the fact that some should look at whats going on in their own back yard before throwing the smelly stuff at other tracks. not pointing the finger directly but some people are like a Cadbury novelty bar

Interesting Jason Long running his fathers number..has Murray retired or still available for Palmy? Also what car is Dion Mooney racing? Bob Smith's 53V car; he's had quite a bit of seat time in the last season or two. It's the car he used at Teams Champs last year.
