Just saying Big "O", that the pull down is done in a timely and efficient manner.
From both sides.
Complaint laid and deposit paid.
Motor is taken to said re-builder (SNZ approved).
Funds shown to be available if motor legit .
Motor pulled apart.
Costs fall where-ever.
Time allowed ---- 1 month?

From what I know of all this situation is the reason it is taking a while is that what ever happens will set the precident for all that come along next...This needs to be done right and written up so there are no grey areas and who ever protests understands what actual costs are involved as well as procedure...
Let's all just hope that sanity prevails and the champs do not become a major drama with protests and Bullnuts...

Although they definitely want to win all the competitors I have been in contact with only want legal engines. Yes they are frustrated that there are potential anomalies and other competitors have possibly taken advantage of the current situation.
The situation was partly created when it was discovered that the “whistler” under reads compression on four valve motors. At least one engine builder may have taken advantage of this anomaly and was/is rumoured to build motors with compression ratios to suit the whistler test as opposed to the actual compression ratio. (Increasing compression above specification on an engine built to comply to the current superstock regulations may significantly increase both torque and power)
It is to the betterment of the sport as a whole that this engine is to be properly examined. There is no intent to cast any negative inferences on the competitor who is cited in this matter.

Where are all the Wellington Wildcats..Mike Pye, Allen Levien, Scott McIntosh, Paul Gaskin? Will the Wildcats have a team for Palmy this season?? Allen Levien has entered ,Mike pye has sold his car to Josh Kahui who is entred Scooter is running as a stockcar,Paul gaskin was driving Clive Eliots car ,who i think is entered and Paul Fairbrother only hit the track last week but i expect he will run,also Dales car is sold ,as for the team one can only guess they will be there

Let's all do it in the dirt, Barry B How can it be "maybe" Barry? - Legal or illegal like pass or fail is not a particularly difficult concept I would have thought... Perhaps this discussion needs its own thread because I find the topic incredibly interesting. Knowing that Mr Rees has had an issue with the engine builder for a good number of years now, (and I think even making another dig during his 'smack torque' interview?) he seems to me to be getting very close to the line of slander - but that is just my observation.

My own opinionated probable 6 from each group, in saying the following there are a lot of home drivers with B on their cars that i couldn't make a accurate judgement on. and of course after the first heat im sure things would change very quickly if damage occurs or whatever else in such an unpredictable motorsport haha
Some hard groups in there to choose 6 from
Blue - 1NZP, 18N, 72P, 118R, 135R, 351A
Orange - 4P, 38M, 58P, 62P, 66B, 92M (possibles 5N, 8P, 14N, 27B, 95R very hard to choose from Hard group!!)
White - 4B, 19C, 32P, 52P, 74R, 126P (possibles 31P, 62H, 186N, 282S, 591P, another tough group to choose)
Yellow - 3NZB, 10P, 16B, 23R, 87M, 88P (possibles 7N if he doesnt get targeted!, 48N, 71P, 98P, 113M)

Big call to not pick 2nz to get through or even be in the possibles of the orange group, certainly going to be some hard racing both nights

Orange i would rate as being the toughest group by the looks of things.

The way I see it is - try not to over or under state the South Islanders
- home track means very little in a big field
- few tanks seem to qualify for the NZ's - other than a P and an R 3
- some drivers have appearted little or have mechanical issues
Blue and white were the hardest ttwo groups to pick from. Orange only had 5 initially so feel thats the group we will get a suprise from so I went for 27B but he was not in my original list. After Saturday nights race 1 dramas anything could happen 21 cars DNF'd race 1. All groups look tough & a driver that did a great job on Sat night and was getting the power to the ground was 471P Benji Sneddon in the ex Geoff James/Dale Robertson V6 Gorge. Good luck to all and by the looks shes going to be slick.
Unless he gets drilled Shane Penn will be the man to watch again, was very controlled in winning both first heats Sat night.
