Not very positive feedback on the condition of the track after todays practice . In all fairness to all competitors I do hope that a great racing surface is provided for this event . If it is cutting up with just the practices , then it will be hard to keep it up to scratch over two race nights...

Fairly positive elbows at that lol. 80 plus cars entered with a dozen or more of them being SI cars , yep sure to dominate the finals and a 1,2 and 3 NZ all heading south after the final . My guess is that half or less will reach the finals , any less than that and it will be all uphill traffic.. Likely qualifiers from the south Ewers , Ngatai and possibly Boote .... And come on you Southern Supporters , we are all entitled to our own opinion , so don't get all serious...

Also Fowler & Harwood will be right there..unfortunately the track is not going to hold up at all..large ruts at both ends developed today like Mal Ngatai said theyve been there for years..its guna take alot of luck this weekend.

MetService is forecasting gusts of up to 70km/h, and thus far they're right on the money; in the last 15 minutes, according to the Napier weather page, there's been a gust of 69km/h. Good luck to the Meeanee track preparation crew trying to get water into the track today and keep it there. Edit: Whoops; MetService was wrong; it's now gusting at 80km/h ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

This is the reason the track surface is a problem.
Track Surface: Clay, Sand & Lime mix

Craig Boote, Shane Harwood and Dale McKenzie will take care of the placings this time round ! Time to return the favour and take the trophy from under the nose of the palmy boys

Results seem very slow coming through. If they have only completed one round of racing in an hour and a half, it's going to be a late night. Wise owl will be distraught.
