You mean penn, or had they swapped cars? He means Hemi... if you watch closely, you see Hemi drive in between Penn and the wall before the light turns green. He takes off whne the red goes out. He made mention of it on his FB page to.

If they have to have a rule like this, I don't see why it can't go orange for a time then green.

What about 88 using the pole line I would think this would be more of a concern.

I really dont think its a big deal its the same for every driver. Its really not a hard rule to understand. The reds go out wait a minimum of 5 seconds till the greens come on THEN go... if the green lights are not on you do not move everyone should know that? As for jack using the pole line thats hardly a big deal half his LF was on the pole line ive seen alot worse than that he didnt even make a gain out of it compared to hemi making nearly half a straight betime everyone else got going again

I'm not sure why this rule was brought in . did the drivers want a better change of anticipating the green light? Perhaps their left foot was getting tired holding the clutch pedal down waiting for the restart or was the sustained high rev's while waiting causing problems.
From the watching side of the fence it doesn't change anything much.
What does concern me though is that a relatively new rule can be managed in so many different ways. Already I've seen offenders pulled from the track , others moved back , others ignored , and now unless I've got the wrong info a relegation after a race .
Keep it simple and consistent is my wish.

The problem was that some tracks had their own method of operating the lights, so it was confusing for visiting drivers. So the "method" was written to sort it out. Seems like the penalties should have been written down as well
