Whats with all the speedway cars for sale and not selling.
So many have been there for so long, they don't look expensive.
Looking at some of the prices I wouldn't mind buying one or two, but they would only end up being garage art.

I think a lot of people these days are building rather than buying, at-least ive seen a trend of people buying brand new or building at some places.

as someone who is looking to upgrade from an entry level car to something more serious I think its not that their over priced but when week in week out your 5-9k car running tractor links can compete with the next level of car 10-15k running flasher gear it seems pointless spending that extra cash to upgrade so you have to look further up the market at the cars 20k+ but not all of us have that kind of cash lying around or can justify spending that kind of money on a silly bumper car. so why not stay in your cheap reliable old basher and have fun with no expectation to win but be pleased if/when it happens.

Just a question would it be possible to get a few sponsors 1st then buy a stockcar or superstock? since it may help be easier obtaining good sponsorship running a car currently.. imagine someone presenting a sponsorship appraisal showing them a car they thinking about purchasing.. id keep my hand in my pocket |

I have a fully rebuilt superstock sitting in the shed ready to race if you want to come give me some cash . going cheap and on trailer.

Just looking at the speedway ads page can someone ask me why super saloon/saloon cars are much cheaper than superstocks/stockcars?, personally i reckon some of them (supers/stocks) aren't worth 20k+ if i was to get one i would probably change quite a few things thats what i would do but i guess its up to how the driver performs i guess

Not every car on the sell pages is still for sale, if the owners dont ask for the ad to be removed its just stays up...I have tried to purchase one of them currently for sale and was told it was sold already, this was a month or so ago....

I guess if you just want to go out and have fun, you still need to have something that will run mid pack at least.
Part of the fun in racing is being up near the pointy end.
Or it wouldn't be long before you would be looking for another car.

Have seen some guys just participating at the lower level and having amazing fun. The guys that are spending mega bucks on cars are not happy unless winning, as that is what they expect. |
