I hope there was an apology at least. Expensive damage and to be perfectly honest took affect of running a 3 heat championship format!!

No apology or contact as yet, even though 96A was parked in the pits with damaged cars either side of him from the incident. Yesterday 96A and Jimmy J were probably too busy praying that Dave Shaw's [Petrolfumes] video camera would get struck by lighting and all visual evidence destroyed.

Its a shame for such an accomplished racer such as Lance (close to 30 years of being a class act) that a single incident that can happen to anyone results in such negative comments. Looks to me (from the video) either a mechanical issue or wet patch on the track has assisted the half spin with the overzealous chasing pack not being able to slow up in time, that's racing unfortunately. I don't believe Lance owes anyone on these boards any appologies, although the opportunity to have a go at Jimmy J is hard to resist, leaving Lance in the middle. Lance is, & has always been a class act. Thankyou, BL

"Overzealous" what does that mean? were they not racing? If you take the word ‘zealous’ to mean enthusiastic, or keen, then overzealous would mean ‘over enthusiastic’, or ‘over keen’ – which is a very normal state of mind for those in that situation under green flag. I’m not exactly sure why you ask, but if you are thinking I am shifting the blame to those coming in behind, then you would be mistaken. I am merely pointing out it was a racing incident (from what I can tell from the video as I wasn't there), & I would be defending any of those other guys in that race in the same way if it were them in the same situation, and being talked about by anonymous folk in the way he has. I thought he deserved a bit more respect than that. Thankyou, BL

Just to let my admirers know that I actually was not at Huntly and have only just watched the incident now on MacGors .
Yea, Lance did loose it by the looks of things but it could also be said that Macca was as usual hard on the throttle not maybe paying attention as to what was going on in front of his bonnet .Has happened before many a time .
Looks to me after watching it numerous times this was more to do with Macca rather than Lance .Sure Lance had some sort of problem for sure but he never hit any body .Macca did though
Watch it in slow mo /

Got a busy day tomorrow as I've got the computer doctor coming around and I've got an appointment with spec savers as I am seeing a different picture of the incident to Brendan Lucas and Tank 11 and Jimmy J. If that was Super Stocks team racing I'd be cheering with joy at such a beautiful blocking manoeuvre, but super saloons and say that was good driving by 96A, to each their own view or opinion. To the guys footing the repair bills, you guys convince them that the $"s they are out of pocket was just bad luck. To the credit of all the drivers involved and their crews their was no bad mouthing on or off the track, which is more than can be said from some competitors in the past. 96A is a great ambassador to the class over many years and hopefully more to come, but occasionally things don't go to plan and with the age we live in it is in our homes to view time and time again. Being there it happened so quickly from go to whoa, the brilliant video coverage most certainly cleared up what was suspected at the time. On the bright side most of the supers will be back on the tracks this weekend.

Have been told that a incar video of the incident from 99A will be up hopefully tonight, and this should clear up Jimmy J's view that Macca had his foot into and not looking over the bonnet, listen to the engine revs prior to contact, believe buttoned right off. Haven't viewed it myself either so also waiting with baited breath.

Thank god you said that because I too thought my eyes maybe be seeing different things, they need to look at the clip again this time watch it. I think that you will see Lance loosing it and cutting across the front of 99a causing a chain reaction with Lance driving off and leaving a mess behind. I have known Lance for a long time and i know he wouldnt mean to do that, it was a racing incident im sure. Better just clarify this post. No problem with Lance's normal driving. In this instance, he is the main cause(by accident)whether over-driving or mechanical.

looked to me like he couldnt get it to go where he was pointing the front wheels....
Thats not something that happens too often for Jennings, macca was just wrong place wrong time - seems he got wacked in the front right which spun him out and since it was starting lap everyone else was still bunched up already... no where to go and at that speed, no time to go anywhere anyway!

What a load a desperate and defensive BULL, trying to blame Macca is 'flat earth society' stuff! It's speedway and a competitor in grid 2 is passionately aware he is being taken by grid one - Lance over cooked it! Around he goes and every following competitor made every effort to avoid the carnage. Yes, it was a speedway racing incident. Could have been almost any competitor at some time in their racing! Where I struggle is why the referee chose not to apply the 'race rules' and why competitors consistently seem to accept gross errors of judgement at great cost to the integrity of speedway.

I have to look after him some how from the vultures on here . Yes he slapped Macca but it was by no way intentional but a mistake . Nakifans if you are not happy grow some balls and go see Lance ,Maybe something failed I don't know cause I have not talked to him yet
