Go kart challenge round 2 - August 30th (Read 666 times)

Round 1 was awesome, we are planning round 2 at Daytona Go karts in Hamilton Saturday August 30th, 6.30pm.

This week we want to have our 10 teams secured and in place, so could any available drivers or indeed teams please pm either me or Petrolfumes by this weekend so we have no last minute jiggery-pokery.

Cost is yet to be finalised, but we are planning MORE LAPS instead of the 2 x 100 lap formats we have, so will confirm the cost in the weekend. Expecting $40-$50 per driver.

For those wanting to spectate, you are most welcome and there is again no entry fee to do so.

We have 10 teams it seems at this point, contact either myself or Petrolfumes, as we most likely will have a bit of jiggery-pokery room as some people inevitably have circumstances change and may not be available on the day. Round 1 we had 5 people arrive as spares if needed, and 1 was indeed used.

Rattla Motorsport have offered to sponsor trophies for overall placings on the night which is awesome, and Chris has advised Monster Energy will most likely again be on-site with plenty of free cans of their product.

We will be supplying in the drivers entry price which is yet to be confirmed, the usual sossies, bread and sauce, fizzy drinks and crappy little trophies, but the overall ones are going to be real nice AND engraved. Whoa !!

Any other sponsors or products happily received, as we love giving our drivers prizes, and shameless promotion of your company, group or organisation is most certainly welcome on the night. Where possible we try hard to thank and support those who help us, including of course Mr Macgor, who allows us to promote these fun events over the off-season for free. Thanks Gordon.

Oh, and there is talk of a final round (Round 3) to finish things off for the 2014 Winter Go kart challenge.

Less than 2 weeks out, and Round 3 plans are almost out-weighing Round 2's. These skids, are looking to be our best ever and with the combined think-tank of Petrolfumes, there will be some (good) changes a-coming.

Muster and start time;

Muster from 4 pm on-wards,

Start time is 5.30pm

There will be more laps, the exact format will be;

5 x 10 lap sprint races (rolling start)to determine grids.

1 x 100 lap race (points & prizes)

1 x 150 lap race (points & prizes)

Cost is $50.00 per driver
