Another unfortunate clash will be the NZ Saloon champs at Blenheim and the Super Saloon Grand Prix at Huntly. Both are running a week after the NZ Super Saoon Champs at wellington. So do you cross the water or head North. We would have done both as would have many others.

Stockcar NI rotorua and superstock NI Meeanee 28 dec
This one has me all steamed up, mind you that's easy done in Rotorua. It's a clash that needed to be sorted as the meetings are only a couple of hours or so apart and appeal to the same fans not to mention a driver or two.

They would definitely appeal to the same fans and I'm sure those drivers who compete in both classes... In the Sth Island we could probably combine them into one nights racing!!! haha,

Heres another clash - NZ TQ title in Greymouth v NZ Streetstock title in CHCH.
Unfortunatly when you look at the dates its super tough to fit everything in. We originally had targeted the week before, which ended up clashing with the NZ Midget title in CHCH at RUapuna.
Hopefully now open wheel fans have a chance to see two titles in a week in the South Island if they desire. LIke wise the drivers from Up NOrth may be interested in racing at both events.
While its tough to avoid, we are hoping there are two sets of fans at work here - though I do know of one is gutted who would have definitly attended the TQ and Streetstock title. Sorry mate!!!

On the positive. Think of the money you can save having to choose one meeting or the other. On negative side the clubs missing on more spectaors choosing one or the other. ie Stocks or superstocks. Would have gone to both but not now unless it rains

This shows that SNZ arent doing there jobs properly as both of these events will attract the same fans. These clashes shouldnt be happening. SNZ shouldnt have approved the dates as its not good for the sport, isnt that what they are there for???

Just to let you know this is a little trickier than first meets the eye. Rotorua and probably HB attract their best crowds during the Christmas New Year period, plus if you look at the Calendar there after it is pretty much full every weekend. SNZ don't allow tracks to run on the 26th so HB could then only run 27th and 28th and we chose 28th and 29th to allow us one rainoff day of the 30th. We can't run on the 31st as there is a free concert down town and I doubt we would have any staff.
Straight after New Year there's NZ Superstocks on the 2nd and 3rd then NZ Stocks on 9th and 10th, then 240s after that, and then we are into the big Teams meetings, so makes it real difficult to not have any clashes at all. There's not much point running just before Christmas as everybody is off at Christmas shouts and especially in Rotorua we just cannot attract a crowd.

Yep this one has both myself and my son in a bit of a spin as well. In fact we are still trying to work out what one to go to. Probably 2 of our favourite classes. I guess Streetstocks will win because I may convince Shane to take the Super Saloon for nite 2.

I wonder why snz wont allow racing on boxing day...pretty sure the horses have big meetings on st stevens day (boxing day)...I know a lot of folks involved in retail have to work on the 26th... sounds to me ( my opinion) is that this is an issue snz shouldnt be involved in at all, It seems that if your going to allow every class on the planet a national champs or a gp then you should let em run when they need to run.
Speedway, over regulated, under compensated!

Sorry that should have been "SNZ don't allow tracks to run Allocated Titles on Boxing Day"
