For Stockcars at least the rules are simple with regards colours T12-2-75 Numbers and track code must be:- (a) of contrasting colours. (b) prepared to a professional standard. Down load yourself a rule book for more regarding sizing etc. www.speedway.co.nz/pdf/Rulebook/2014%20Rulebook.pdf

a long time ago, we used a special expensive sparkly paint, which looked really great, but as it turned out was totally useless at night under floodlights, just looked dark with no glitter/sparkle.

I could swear that somewhere in the rulebook there is something about chrome/reflective materials not allowed to be used, but maybe that refers to the car colour and not the numbers ? I shall keep hunting
