Here's an idea. What say we do a grid draw in front of the public but we won't tell them who has drawn what. Oh darn, Nelson have done it already.

I know from experience that things don't always go to plan as a meeting unfolds, PPL don't always get the full msg about exactly what's to happen but that's a fairly major blunder. Why else would they do the draw infield?

Exactly what I was thinking! Was the grid draw secret squirrel or something?

As an ex Nelsonian these guys make a lot more sense when you can see what they are talking about. Can we see a day in the fture where commentators will need to describe more for those not there or do we have to accept that they are there for the people watching live and not those listening in?

Never happen in wgtn aye Ramjam I would never say that LOL. The best laid plans can go awray very quickly when PPL either don't listen to, don't understand, or don't follow the plan. Id be real surprised if there way it happened was the way it was planned

Id be real surprised if there way it happened was the way it was planned The drivers picked up a bag at the draw, a number was in the bag evidently. That was the end of that. The grids were rattled through before the start of race one in race 1 grid order. Too fast for those there I'm told.

Institutional knowledge is a very important thing when it comes to getting the little things right. None of the PPL running the meeting will forget in future to put the grid draw number on the bottom of the bag or somewhere it can be found easily BEFORE the interview next time.
