All the Poms that come to NZ & race are very good @ wot they do..Just wish they would be given very average machinery when they race here as we get when we race over there..Not some of our best gear..See how they would feel..
Just my thoughts

Maybe now that we have lead the way with good gear they will start offering the sane back, the joblins are giving undoubtedly 'one of' the best superstocks in the country, 65r is certainly a fine piece of superstock too with a wicked engine package, a car that managed 3nz in the barrs car what mor could you ask for!

The reason why you don't get top line cars as you put over here, compared to what us Poms get over there is because there doesn't tend to be many spare ones around. We have less drivers over here, which means there are fewer cars available. There aren't many superstar or star grade drivers that have spare kit built up ready to go, and theres not many drivers over here that would give up a chance to miss the World Final. Plus up until quite recently there was quite a big gap between the top cars and the lower grader cars, but this is changing every year and the standard of the lower graders kit is getting better (but there's also a heck of a lot less lower drivers)
Last year the 2 kiwis had Michael Scrivens car and a brand new built Falding built car having its first outing (some would say you don't get better than a new falding car). 2 years ago Wainman's lent out 2 pretty top line cars that he had for sale at the time. 3 years ago a kiwi used Ryan Harrison's old tar car that was in good nick and most drivers would of been happy with. So the cars in recent years haven't been that bad. You could be forgetting that maybe us Poms are just better drivers than you lot and you are using the "being lent poor cars" as an excuse?? (tongue very firmly buried in check there and pulling your leg!) I have put the tin hat on and I'm awaiting the abuse!

Also just thinking about it, would the Poms get the same level of kit if they were going for NZ Champs? No direspect to the 240s or 248s (as both are great meetings i have enjoyed in my visits over to NZ), but are your top line drivers more willing to step aside for these meetings making the cars available? The WF is the BIG one over here, all the drivers qualify for it over the year, it would be hard to race for it all year, then give up your spot so someone else to have a crack at it in your car - maybe for one of our 'lesser meetings' more top line cars would be available?

Do they still own that tank ? Was running at the 248s in their colours but with a driver from the bay in it. Listened to the interview & Frankie says they still own it but due to it not having much use since last teams they aren't sure whether they'll use it

Originally, yes, it was Scott's old car, but then Scott's new car had engine problems or something so Scott was running his old car at the Global Challenge in Palm,y with Finnikin in Adams car

Also I only just noticed all of the drivers are 2nd or 3rd generation. The Wainman brothers and Scorthern are 2nd generation while Scriven and Finnikin are 3rd generation.

I have been mulling this one over for a while and as yeloowbelly explained and completely correctly we just don't have the spare kit in the UK. Here's one for for the soup pot though! Recently Rob Lintern built and shipped across a NZ Brisca F1. The car was run for a short while and over the WF Period then sold on. In my humble opinion that car fad massive potential but is there not any way that Speedway NZ could produce 2 cars that could be raced in the UK by top Brisca drivers who then help to set up and assist our NZ friends to achieve the very best chance at a WF. Don't get me wrong I'm a waffling fan that doesn't put any real time or money into these things but just how good could it be??

A sound idea. Would it then be feasible for the English Speedway governing body to reciprocate with a couple of Superstocks here in NZ so some like the Barrs don't have to give up their ride? Just a thought.

Row its gotta be worth some thought. But as mentioned before we don't have an abundance of spare cars. There might be some in the UK that would even want there names on good NZ cars too. Not sure but I think the team bought a tank back in 2013 no idea what happened to that though as its took 2 years to save and get back to Teams Mecca lol
