I think the security boys and girls at a speedway are important to the success of a meeting and this weekend is no different. In my opinion their main responsibility is to protect the safety of all attendees by ensuring all rules are enforced. Can I make a couple of suggestions: - Police the “no standing here” rule at the fence between turn 1 and 2. People standing there block the view of the disability holders (and all spectators) and it’s a safety issue. Full-stop, end of story - no one should be standing there. - Ensure that tarpaulins are not blocking the walk ways on the terraces. Simple – it’s a safety issue and needs to be sorted out. This rule can only be enforced by “boots on the ground” - that is security are always visible at all times by walking! Is there a hotline at Paradise Valley where spectators can communicate safety issues to security? Personally I think the security at Woodford Glen is the best in the country. They wear professional uniforms and look smart, fully resourced with communication equipment, friendly, visible and respond immediately to safety concerns.
