Do you think we should adopt the English idea of having different wing colours for our nz, gp, north and South Island champs each season? So over there the world champs gets the gold wing, British champs gets chequer wing and so on. Like peter and Asher Rees have done this year they gone gold wings for there 1nz, why not who ever wins the other 3 champs gets to have some sort of wing colour to show the won that title for the year.
What's your thought?

and if you win all champs you get a rainbow wing...
the rees only did that as a look at me factor...
keep it how it is now...remitts are another two years away now as you have missed the boat this time round..if your still thinking about it in 2 years maybe try submitting it...but personally as my opinion the 1 2 3 nz on the side shows enough ...
lets not all be "look at me im a rees so i have to look special"

Its not all about who wins what with the roof colours. It is primarily there to grade the driver. White for novice, yellow, blue, red etc

What's your thought? The English way is way more than simply earning a colour to wear on the wing, it also sets where you start on the grid for all their racing. It's a handicap system I wish we could have. I'm not sure it's feasible here though. They only run F1's at one track on any given date as I understand it or at least meetings that count. Here is their fixture list f1stockcars.com/fixture-list/Meetings are not all on Saturday nights . Fridays, Sundays and Mondays are all in the mix. A couple of cars (can't remember what they do to earn it) have flashing lights on their wings as well so everyone knows where they are on the track. Our drivers set their racing rules (in theory) . I guess you'd has to ask the top guys if they want to start of the back every meeting. Season long points earning grids for a one race NZ Champion. Season points winner becomes the NZ Points? Champion. There is a lot to be said for this system and we could easily include some of our existing bigger meetings in the points chase . ie World 240's , World 248's, Taranaki Champs, Battle of the stocks etc. Failing that our NZ1,2,3 would seem to be the best way or doing things.

I'm fully understand the uk style of racing, travel round the stock car scene as much as I could when I did my oe over there, love the format of racing with the grading, just thought it would be cool to see something here that if you won the north island champ you could display something on your car thiat year, maybe not the wing but something else, just like in karting north island champ put NI on his kart, was just a thought I want to share

Sort of off the subject but why do some cars race with flashing lights on their wings in Britten?
