Has anyone towed a stockcar with a stx navara 2.5 diesel? If so how do they tow like? I have owned Nissan diesels for a long time now right up to the last diesel Pathfinder (don't make Pathfinders in diesel any more) & have never had a problem. But in saying that I sold a Nissan Navara Ventura to my nephew "Stevie P" 15R Super Stock he does huge Kms for his business, the injector pump crapped out at I think about 170,000 Kms & it was $9000 to replace it. Guess that is what we call progress, hate to think what it would cost to build a vehicle to day if we had to buy the parts & put them all together. Had an update from "Stevie P", the nearly $9000 was to remove, repair the injector pump & replace some other items associated with the injector pump.

I have one , and it goes like hell . 6 speed manual gearbox .Had ford courier , safari and 3 litre hilux , none of them would beat the Navara stx on the hills towing a stockcar .. Very high geared in the lower gears and the clutches are weak. Apart from that , like anything keep them serviced and they will treat you well.
Injectors go at around 180,000 km , cost 3 grand to replace ..

I brought a 2006 Stx 6 speed diesel navara to tow my superstock around the country. It had done 180,000kms when I got it and hadnt had any major work done to it. I just sold it 3 weeks ago and it had done 235,000kms and still no major work. I just kept up the servicing and it was awesome... I've towed with lots of vehicles and I would have another navara any day. Best ever. The best part about them is the don't sag in the ass when loaded like the hilux do and the tow rating is 500 kgs more too. I could tow the car with spares up the bombay hills in 3rd gear doing 75 kms. Which to me is bloody good. Would recommend to anyone just keep up the servicing and make sure you change the fuel filter often..

well, i have a stx which was originally bought to tow stockcar, 6 speed 4wd etc etc, awesome tow vehicle, goes like crazy, had it since late 2006, low km, it is starting to cost me $ now, i buggered the clutch in it, my fault, in the end bought a clutch kit off ebay which landed for $500, anyway the clutch is good now, but the gearbox has just expired and getting fixed as we speak. i estimate when we were fully loaded, total mass was 6 to 7 tonnes, that was vehicle, trailer, stockcar, spares and people.
