What are people doing about tuning there carbs for the new 17 mm holes put mine on to night seems to run ok but can't take it for a run up the road cause I can't really fit and my sons not that clued up enuff yet to tell me. In fact he tells me everyone's quicker than him and the motor is to slow and his driving is fine it's the motor  ? but anyway! is a dyno tuning session the only way really? |

And with the sons driving, is he smooth around the corners? Smooth passing any slower cars? 90% the driver, 10% the car. |

Thanks for the reply thought dyno would be the way to go. Now can anyone recommend one ? That's not going to blow it up and knows mini stocks or involved with speedway like to support the community if I can. I'm from Wellington but can travel. And the boys getting better still at the tail end of the pack still a lot of learning to go only first year

Have used roskilda Autos and Steve Hildred motors both with good results

New season New restrictor plate only alteration to car and now falling behind top cars. Car appears to get slower as race goes on. Any one got any ideas

That is exactly what SNZ was told (by many people during the submission process) would happen. Now unless you can afford to pay for specialist dyno tuning, the gap between those that can and 90% of the rest of the class will get bigger. However there is too much emphasis on engines and far more to be gained by improving handling and driver skill. Keep your money in your pocket and spend time watching what the fast guys are doing. |
