Hey guys,
Will General Admission be as far around the track as last year or is it expected to be all the way around turn 3 this year?
Going to book tickets but want to make sure can still still sit there before booking.
Cheers,

Going to book tickets but want to make sure can still still sit there before booking. Cheers, Only the first block going into Turn 3 and a Block by the Turn 4 light tower will be Embankment seating available for General Admission. The rest of the Embankment / Terraces is almost all sold for Reserved seating. If Ticket Direct web site shows "Sold Out" come back in a couple of hours as they are releasing sales for the last few rows, 2 or 3 Rows at a time. There is also some General Admission seating between Turn 1 & 2, on the temporary stands at each end of the Grandstand and Row A all the way around the bottom of the Terraces / Embankment. Also some seats not reserved in the Temporary Grandstands at the top of the Embankment especially between Turn 3 & Turn 4 Please note:- General Admission does not guarantee you will have a seat.

It appears to me that if you are travelling some distance and do not have a seat booked then I would be rocking up real early, as pnspeed indicated that a GA seat is not a given. Sitting in the aisle and walkways like some did with children last year is a safety concern.

So you are hoping to over-fill the place with those not having a seat having to stand up in front of those who do, and/or stand at the fence, and/or block all the access ways? Forcing your customers into compromised situations, both comfort and safety wise, for the sake is greed should not be allowed in my opinion.

I must admit - I'm a little disappointed that turn three in its entirety has been changed to a reserved seating area - the second year I attended teams I got to sit on turn three with the other GA users - and now we've been confined to a sun-struck, mishmash area on turn two, or one block and temp seating on turns three and four? Not everyone has the ability or means with which to buy reserved seating (I am pushing s**t uphill to barely get GA as it is) and to find out now that the one place I've sat for nearly 8 teams events is now reserved only is quite a bitter disappointment. I don't want to be reduced to sitting ONLY on turn two as there is constant nagging ladies with screamy, nasty children, or there are drunks who can't figure out how stairs work and stumble over about 4 people in their process of climbing (and yes, I have been on turn 2 before for my first year so yes I do know how it feels there) and worst of all, the first 4-odd races and the grand parade is obscured by sunstrike - not exactly pleasant or preferred viewing.
Please at least tell me that all gates for fans will open at the same time to prevent people hogging all the temp seating?!

Yes - but when you're scrimping and saving to get the standing $80 alone - an extra $20 is a little much - especially when you're on a limited bdget and there are other factors to mark in for the weekend as well (food and drink, gas, programme, paraphernalia etc). If you can afford it then YAY go you, what I'm saying is that is NOT always the case for EVERYONE!

Careful, you will have BB telling you that you are irresponsible for not starting to save for this years event as soon as you got home from last years one - its your fault you cant afford more according to BB!

Even squeezing out $5 a week isn't an option.

Completely agree, the only reason I still buy GA is because of the other people who we sit with at turn 3 every year. When I looked on Ticket Direct there wasn't anyway to choose an area where you want to sit with reserved.... pretty gutted to be honest. Coming up 10 years in a row and not going to sit where or with who we always sit with....
