Rotoruas querter final a car pulled up to the gate before the race. Crew came around the car which happened to be in front of the wall camera and appeared to pour fuel into the car. I presume this because it was a Jerry can they were using.
Anybody else notice this or know if there is a ruling on this??

why should it be an issue? 3 minute bell, no different to putting oil in the diff or water in the radiator is it.

E5-10 Refuelling Refuelling of race vehicles on the track is prohibited except for Solos and Sidecars.
& under Superstock/ Stockcar Racing rules:
R12-3-46 Refuelling is not permitted on the track at any time.

Was missed buy Clerk of the course who was dealing with another issue, but was spotted by refs directly above them and dealt with following the race

Was missed buy Clerk of the course who was dealing with another issue, but was spotted by refs directly above them and dealt with following the race If that is the case, did the refs not alert the Clerk of the Course immediately, and BEFORE the race started? It is a clear breach of the rules, and surely there were grounds for the car being excluded from the race. Surely it is better for an issue to be dealt with immediately, rather than retrospectively.

Do you really want cars thrown out when it's a rule breach - fair enough - but not something that materially affects the outcome.
Where do you draw the line? as with any rule/law there are different levels of consequence. Ie you don't go to jail for doing 106kmh on the open road.
Yes rules are rules and breaches need to be dealt with, but excluding cars excessively helps no-one.

Yes rules are rules and breaches need to be dealt with, but excluding cars excessively helps no-one. First race of the night, and the car needed refuelling. Either that is a basic error on behalf of the crew, or an attempt to keep the weight down. If it had been later in the night and the crew had been working right up to race time to fix the car, perhaps. Bottom line though; if you exclude one car for a breach, you're likely to eliminate the problem

So how come at Waikaraka Park a few weeks ago during the 50lapper super saloon car feature they red lighted the race for a "pit stop" and refuelled every single race car on the track.. I accept that yeah the super saloons can't make 50 laps on a tank of fuel but it blows this rule right out of the water don't you think?? ready set go and the keyboard warriors are off

so would topping up engine or diff oil also be classed as refueling? or is oil not a fuel?
