Not the first time Akl wasn't fancied vs poms but got the win. Good on them. Poms will learn from it I'm sure

Marx put in a hit early in the race that forced a red light to clean the broken concrete from the track, can’t remember which GB car it was but it took him a lap or so to get going again.

It appeared the GB team had overdosed on Prozac (Or a similar anti aggression medication) The Sunday school egg and spoon race showcases more technique anger and aggression than this lot managed. They appeared to have very little concept of what NZ style teams racing is about - if this lot learn fast they should become mediocre currently the team presented are not title contenders.
Having lambasted that thoroughly pathetic performance, their best driver (By many leagues) was stood down and generally the English gentlemen showed they have good track speed in later races.

Most years the poms don't look overly convincing when they race Auckland the week before. But come teams champs they always step it up. All these drivers have been here and done it before. They know what is required come next weekend.

Yeah, they sure wouldn’t want to destroy a car, or worse still get injured or a KO stand down 7 days out from the big one!
